1/7/12 Blackbear Gathering - Mrs Maybelle advised that the Blackbear Gathering will be held on Saturday, 1/7/12. Details will be sent at a later date. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend.

 

1/14/12 Special Working Council Meeting, 2 Blue Feathers (Arab AL). This is an open meeting.

 

3/18/12 CTNEAL Council Meeting, Sunday, 1:00-5:00 pm, Amelia Porter Building, Palisades Park, Oneonta AL

 

3/31-4/1/12 Chattanooga’s PowWow On the River, Chattanooga TN (details to be provided at a later date)

 

5/5/12 Fifth Annual Casey’s Cause Fun Run, Trussville AL. 10K, 5K & 1 Mile runs will be held on Saturday. (details to be provided at a later date)

 

5/19-20/12 – Feast of the South 2012. Saturday & Sunday, 10am-5pm. Cheaha State Park, AL. All dancers welcome; drums by reservation only. $2 parking fee. Alcohol & drugs prohibited. 8/4/12 – Tanasi District Gathering, (1st Saturday), 9:00am-3:00 pm at the Palisades Park in Pavilions 4 & 5 (near the Old Pioneer Compton Schoolhouse), Oneonta AL. Bring your favorite “pot-luck” covered dish, drink & extra lawn chairs. Lunch will be served around 12 (Cherokee Time). Payne AL – For more than 20 years, the Cherokee Tribe of Northeast Alabama has held an annual American Indian powwow.  Join us in the dance circle and visit our craftsman. We need volunteers.
